Think of me as your marketing manager. Usually the business founder handles marketing, but after a certain point they will want someone else to take over those tasks. Unfortunately, it’s a big leap from doing it yourself to hiring full-time staff. That’s where I come in. You get someone with years of experience to manage your marketing efforts on your behalf, without worrying about salary and benefits.
Marketing Services
Marketing Management
You’ve got a business to run, and you can’t do that if marketing takes up a large part of your week. I make it my job to understand your goals and be a partner that you can trust to take those ongoing marketing tasks off your plate.
Marketing Strategy
There are tons of different advertising options nowadays, but the right choice will vary depending on your goals. I can put all of the pieces together for you from the planning stage to execution.
Digital & Print Marketing
I’m not a “consultant” who specializes in strategy and farms out all the development work. I can handle things like graphic design, email marketing, setting up your Google Business Profile, building a website, conversion rate optimization, and more.
Managing Suppliers
Managing suppliers — and figuring out which ones to hire — can take up a lot of your time. I have tons of experience selecting and working with photographers, videographers, printers, designers, and more.
Budgeting
Marketing can be a money pit. As the old saying goes, “Half the money I spend on advertising is wasted; the trouble is, I don’t know which half”. I can maximize every dollar rather than try a shotgun approach.
Analytics & Reporting
If you don’t measure it, you can’t manage it. I can analyze the big picture to see what’s working and what isn’t, make adjustments to ensure your budget goes as far as possible, and set up dashboards so that you can track everything at a glance.
How does this work?
Marketing services are usually on a monthly retainer, because clients’ marketing needs are ongoing and spread out over time (i.e. there’s something that needs doing every month, all year long). However, if your needs are short-term (for example to launch a new product or rebranding), I can provide project-based services as well.

From the Blog: Marketing & Business
Yes, another blog post about AI – what can I say, it’s the topic du jour, especially with OpenAI’s reveal yesterday of additional details about the next version of ChatGPT. But are there things it still can’t do?
I regularly see businesses get sidetracked by marketing trends and jargon, only to end up mired in confusion, irrelevant information, and wasted time. I can’t really blame them – that confusion is usually caused by the people entrusted to implement marketing efforts.
Some industries get overtaken by events. What do you do when your Unique Selling Proposition doesn’t exist anymore?
What does “small batch” even mean, then? And how big is a small batch relative to a normal batch? Is there an ISO standard for batch sizes? Where do all these meaningless terms come from?
There isn’t much I could write about Amazon’s history to date that hasn’t already been said. However, for a company so famously predicated on customer service, I’ve found their storefront increasingly frustrating to use.
I get it, the world moves quickly nowadays – but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t take time to ensure things are done right.
