Your website shouldn’t just look pretty — it should work for you as a tool to generate leads.
THE INGREDIENTS OF a good website
Here’s the recipe.
MAP IT OUT
Failing to plan is planning to fail, as the saying goes. You don’t want to shoehorn content into a layout that wasn’t designed to accommodate it. Too many websites are built with templates that don’t quite fit.
A website must be very intuitive to use and make a good first impression. You have literally a second or two to retain visitors before they decide to leave, so the website's layout must be clear and avoid confusion.
KEEP IT LEAN
There are many website “builder” services, themes, and templates out there that look great but have very bloated code filled with unused functionality that slows your website down.
EASY TO UPDATE
No one wants to depend on a web developer to make updates because they’re the only person who knows how to modify their overcomplicated website. A well-built website should allow anybody to make regular updates.
Once the website is complete I give you full access to everything, including working files and administrator login. I believe your website should never be held hostage by a third party.
But wait, there’s more!
Online stores are in higher demand than ever before. I can build one for you, including setting up a merchant account to handle payments and direct deposits to your bank account.
Your website may not actually need a full overhaul — sometimes a refresh is a better value and nearly as effective. Send me a link to your current site and I’ll let you know if it can be modified.
I can provide hosting if you need it, or you can keep whatever provider you have if you prefer. My hosting server is located in Montréal and uses SSDs for extra speed.
If you don’t already have Google Analytics, I’ll set it up for you. The service is 100% free to use and shows a huge variety of useful usage statistics for your website.
